Imperial Burgers: A Local Gem in La Habra

Nestled conveniently at 241 E Imperial Hwy, La Habra, CA, Imperial Burgers is a beloved hamburger restaurant that provides a nostalgic and delightful dining experience. Known for their classic diner vibe and mouth-watering menu, this establishment captures the hearts (and appetites) of locals and visitors alike.

At Imperial Burgers, you'll discover a menu that reads like a love letter to comfort food. Their ½ Lb. Dbl. Cheeseburger, priced at just US$1.20, is a crowd favorite. Juicy, perfectly seasoned patties are layered with gooey cheese, making every bite an indulgent delight. However, it’s not just about burgers here—the breakfast options are equally enticing. Guests rave about their Bacon Breakfast Burrito, which comes generously stuffed with flavorful ingredients that the staff ensures will keep you satisfied through the last bite, as shared by the Robinson Family: 'Bacon Breakfast burrito! I mean the women at the counter told me I would love it and I do!'

The atmosphere at Imperial Burgers channels a classic diner aesthetic, complete with cozy seating and friendly service. While the indoor and outdoor dining spaces are functional and straightforward—ideal for a quick meal—there's an unmistakable charm in the bustling, bare essentials of the restaurant. The owner’s touch, paired with a hint of Greek flavoring, lends a unique twist to traditional American eats, a detail highlighted by loyal patron Kurt “KC” Common, who has been enjoying the food for over 41 years. The vibe is generally relaxed, making it a perfect spot to unwind or grab a quick bite.

The joy continues beyond burgers. Dive into a hearty Bowl Of Chili priced at US$5.49, or savor the flavorful Chili Tamale at US$6.49 for a taste of something different. Be sure to wash your meal down with a creamy shake or a hot drink—both priced at US$2.20—for a complete and satisfying experience.

While some reviews touch on room for improvement—like the buns used for the pastrami sandwich or the quantity of batter on onion rings—it’s clear that the essence of Imperial Burgers lies in its comforting food and committed service. As customer W O'Brien wonderfully put it, 'Super delicious diner quality food served with friendly hospitality.' Despite minor critiques, much of the feedback reflects a deep appreciation for the food quality and a genuine love for this staple in the La Habra community.

If you're seeking a burger joint that embodies both nostalgia and hearty satisfaction, you can’t go wrong with Imperial Burgers. With their welcoming atmosphere and a menu that promises to please, it's not just a meal—it's a local experience.

Bacon Breakfast burrito! I mean the women at the counter told me I would love it and I do! It’s nice size and they don’t hold back ingredients, stayed consistent all the way through the whole burrito.

Ordered Pastrami Sandwich. The pastrami was juicy, however maybe a nicer bun would add a bit more flavor contrast to the meal. Ordered a side dish of onion rings which was mostly batter. Also fact they charge extra for ranch for the onion rings is a bit extra. Atmosphere is small and maybe could use some renovation, however staff was nice.

I’ve been going to this place for over 41 years. The owner adds Greek flavoring to the food, giving it a secret-special taste.

Best take out in the LA Habra area for burgers and other sandwiches and Mexican dishes as well, classic style, wrapped in yellow paper, best crinkle fries hands down, plus they give you alot. Lady taking orders seems short and to the point but she running a business so I get it. The food makes up for it. Not much seating unless you are okay sitting right in front of the order and pick up windows. Plenty of parking, 50/50 on the restroom, it's clean but old.

Super delicious diner quality food served with friendly hospitality. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Imperial Burgers. The junior Burger and fries tasty. Much better than In 'n'Out. It also seemed the meal was presented with the utmost care as the burger didn't not look like it was hastily prepared. The diner has both an indoor and outdoor dining counter service. The whole ok place looked very clean as I did not see one single piece of trash on the floor. Even the indoor dining area looked really clean. Friendly service throughout. Conveniently located on the corner of Imperial hwy. Plenty of free parking.
